BEHIND THE SCENES...

My name is Trason Fernandes and I have been an independently contracted makeup artist for the past 9 years in Toronto.  I have worked, learned and built myself as an artist in pretty much every field in makeup there is to offer, just to stay ahead of the game.  I graduated from Complections College of Make-Up Art & Design in 2006. 

 

I have had the opportunity to work with various theatrical productions throughout the city.  Shows such as Shrek & Hair the Musicals, Fairy Tale Ending, Rent, Rocky Horror Show, Into the Woods, Twelfth Night, The Killing Game, Little Shop of Horrors, King Lear, Cabaret, Reefer Madness and many others.

I also work within the TV/film industry on commercials, music videos, feature films, etc.  I assisted ALTERIAN INC - Tony Gardener and Stephen Prouty with the prosthetics on the feature film HAIRSPRAY as part of Team Travolta in 2006 and I had the honour to work alongside Deepa Mehta on  Midnights Children which was filmed in Sri Lanka & Kashmir in 2011.

 

I was also involved in the Miss Canada Universe Pageant as their Head of Department for Make-Up for the past 8 years.

 

In 2012,  at the first ever Canadian Screen Awards; I was co-nominated for the Best Achievement in Make-up for the feature film Antiviral by Brandon Cronenberg.

 

I have had the opportunity over the years to travel the world working on larger scaled prosthetics for museums and other projects in Alberta, Texas, Germany & Sri Lanka & most recently L.A.
